Wedgewood Happenings — 10.18.2024

by on Oct.18, 2024, under Happenings

Congratulations to the 2024 Wedgewood Club Champion — Dustin Hunter.  Dustin is a long time Wedgewood member — 31 years.  Fun facts from 30 years ago Wedgewood had 120+ members and everyone started play on One Tee.

The Clubhouse will close Monday, November 4  and reopen April 1, 2025 (weather permitting).  Please use the on course facility at Six Tee.  For advance cart reservations, call 417.254.1079.  Please allow a day or two so arrangements can be made to get out carts.

The course is in great shape so please continue to sand fill divots and repair ball marks including divots on the driving range.  There are signs around the course with QR codes for ground repair instruction.  Due to inappropriate club usage,  recently there has been damage on 4, 5 and 6 greens (members please assist with monitoring any damage).    If  there is frost or frozen greens, no play and no carts in fairways if frozen.  This will assist with keeping  winter kill to a minimum in the fairways.

A big thank you to all the volunteers that keep Wedgewood operating.  Wedgewood could not survive without its volunteers. Wedgewood is a little gem in the local community and worth keeping going.
