Wedgewood Happenings — 10.22.2018

A big thank you to the members that attended the annual Wedgewood meeting  Saturday, October 20th.  Thanks to everyone who donated silent auctions items, for bidding on the items and for buying items.   The $325 from the auction will go toward the #8 cartpath project.  New board members include Jeremy Hannaford, Steve Hawkins, Doug Jones and Jeremy Raney.  Winners of the putting contest were first place Martin Kaps and Doug Jones and consolation Mary Auen and Amber Raney.

Wednesday women’s league  October 17 enjoyed temperatures in the 60’s and a stunning sunset.  The Monday and Wednesday women’s leagues plan to continue play as weather permits.   The 2018 Men’s League and Cat & Dog games will end this week due to the time change.  The daily big game will continue to play as weather permits and will start around noon.  Ted Noirfalsie said to “show up” or for game information to call him at 417.254.3121.

Scott requests that golfers avoid driving carts in the fairway during the winter.  This will help minimize winter kill of the bermuda.  If you haven’t visited Wedgewood for a while, volunteers have been sprucing up the grounds.  Please stop by and take a look at the improvements.

The temperatures are cooler but feels great with the sunshine.  A lot of leaves are changing color at Wedgewood come out and enjoy the beauty with a round of golf at Wedgewood.

The proshop will be open through the end of October then the club will operate on the honor system for green fees.  Please use the mail slot on the pro shop door.
