Congratulations to Michele Meyers, Willow Springs, and Penny Reynolds, Cherokee Village, the winners of the annual Kathy Noirfalise Memorial 2-Lady 18-Hole Scramble held Saturday, August 27th at Wedgewood Country Club. Second place was June Gantner, Hollister and Sharon Alder, Mtn. Grove and third place Sherri Jungferman and Teytam McClellan Mtn. View. A-Flight winners included 1st place June Swanson and Pam Smith, Mtn. View; 2nd place Jody Jarrett, Cabool and Sandra Hawkins, Mtn. Grove and 3rd place Julie Jackson, Mtn. Grove and Linda Hancock, Norwood. Hole prize winners included CTP Hole 2 Julie Lenardson, Mtn. Grove, 8′ 11″; CTP Hole 5 Pam Smith, 12″; CTP 2nd Shot Hole 6 Jackie Smith, Houston and Teytam McClellan, 13′ 11″; CTP Linda Benyo, Willow Springs, 10′ 9″ and Longest Putt Linda LeBaron, Mtn. The Noirfalise family sponsored a $1000 cash shootout with 19 ladies qualifying. Wendy Willard, Willow Springs, won 1st place with a CTP of 20′ 4 1/2″; 2nd place Teytam McClellan with 22′ 1′ and 3rd place Jackie Smith 23′ 6 1/4″. The Noirfalise family also provided on course games including a longest drive with a wedge and a plastic ball and Cindy Summers, Mtn. View, won that game. Wendy Willard won the pitching contest played with a whiffle ball and a pool of water.
The weather was a beautiful, warm golfing day and the ladies enjoyed lunch in the dining hall with food provided by Wedgewood, Mary Auen, Jody Jarrett, Donna Jones and the Noirfalise family. Thank you to Jody Jarrett for the treat bags and a thank you to all that provided silent auction items.
