Wedgewood Country Club held the first annual 18-Hole Women’s Scramble Tournament Saturday, September 15th. Participants attended from Cabool, Cherokee Village, Houston, Mountain Grove, Mountain View, Springfield, Thayer, West Plains and Willow Springs. Congratulations to Michele Myers and Bev Hicks, lst place Championship and Penny Reynolds and Virgina Morrow, 2nd place. A-Flight winners were 1st place Carolyn Bunch and Sandra Hawkins, and 2nd place Jody Jarrett and Amber Raney. Other prizes included CTP hole 2/11 Penny Reynolds; Longest Birdie Putt hole 3/12, Julie Lenardson; Longest Bogey Putt hole 4/13, Linda Moyer; CTP hole 5/14, Bev Hicks; Closest 2nd Shot hole 6/15, Diane Schuster; CTP hole 7/16 Linda Benyo; CTP 3rd Shot hole 8/17, Wendy Willard and Longest Putt hole 9/18, Virgina Morrow. Several local golfers from Cabool, Mtn. Grove, and Willow Springs traveled to Mtn Home, Arkansas Thursday, September 13th to play at Twin Lakes Golf Course in the Ladies League Annual Memorial Golf Tournament. Congratulations to Michele Myers, Wedgewood member, and Bev Hicks, Willow Springs Thomas F. Benyo Municipal member, for placing 4th in Championship Flight out of 48 teams.
Men’s League results for September 4th include CTP winners Gary Maggard, hole 2; Jeremy Hannaford, hole 5 and David Walker, hole 7. Skin winners were Trent Jones, hole 1 and Gary Maggard, hole 5. David Walker and Levi West tied for 1st place.
