Wedgewood would like to welcome proshop volunteer Mary Auen. Mary grew up south of Mtn Grove and attended Champion Grade School. She then attended Mtn. Grove High School and is an alumni of Norwood High School. Her teaching career begin in 1968 at the Ava State School working with special needs children. She also taught elementary school at Norwood, Mtn. Grove and Cabool. Mary began golfing with her husband, Bud, at WPCC in 2012 and joined Wedgewood in 2017. Mary plays in the women’s leagues, C&D and participated in the fall night glo golf.
The weather has canceled all but two Cabool High School Golf Team meets this season. Congratulations to Saxton Green on his 5th place win at the Salem meet. The team will attend a JV match at Ava and play at Mtn. Grove this week. Good luck golfers!
Bass Pro Legends of Golf is happening at Big Cedar Lodge this weekend. Sunday morning the celebrity shootout will include golfers Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Lee Trevino, Johnny Miller, Larry Nelson and David Graham and they will be joined by actor Mark Wahlberg, Kid Rock, Larry the Cable Guy and Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson.
