The annual Wedgewood Cat & Dog Tournament was held Saturday and Sunday, July 30-31. Golfers had a rainy day to contend with Sunday with a rain delay in both the morning and afternoon sessions. Saturday closest-to-the-pin (CTP) winners were Michele McDaniel, hole 2; Jennifer Replogle holes 5 and 7; Charlie Blackwell, holes 2 and 7 and Doug Jones, hole 5. Sunday CTP winners were Becky Duncan, holes 2 and 5; Lou Cannon, hole 7; Ted Noirfalise, holes 2 and 7 and Mike Hull, hole 5. The Wedgewood Club Championship has been rescheduled for Saturday and Sunday, August 6 and 7. Check with the proshop for details.
The Cabool Kiwanis Golf Tournament is scheduled at Wedgewood, Saturday, August 13. This tournament is a 2-person scramble with tee times at 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The cost is $80 per person and includes lunch. Register by contacting Jeremy Hannaford at Cabool State Bank at 417.962.3168.
The 4th Annual Community Foundation of the Ozarks Mountain Grove Chapter 2-Person 18-Hole Scramble and Sweet Summer Soiree is scheduled at Wedgewood Saturday, August 20. Tee times are at 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. This is a wonderful annual event with a great meal and a fun auction of donated items. Winners of the Cat & Dog League Friday, July 28 include Championship Flight 1st place Doug and Donna Jones and A-Flight 1st place Brian and Marcy Fleetwood. The lone CTP winner was Donna Jones on hole 7 and the men’s CTP will be a carryover.
