This week is predicted to be very hot and steamy so the Wedgewood pool should be busy as the summer break begins to wind down for school kids. Cabool Schools is scheduled to begin August 11 and Mtn Grove Schools the 18th.
Upcoming Wedgewood events include the annual Cat & Dog Tournament Saturday and Sunday, July 30 and 31st. The Cabool Kiwanis Tournament will be held Saturday, August 13 and the annual Club Championship will be August 27th and 28th.
The Tuesday evening men’s league July 12th results include 1st place winner Jordan Noirfalise and 2nd place Austin Baker. Closest-to-the pin winners were hole 2, Kevin Clary; hole 5, Jordan Noirfalise and hole 7, Austin Baker. The lone skin winner was Shelby Gray, hole 5.
The Monday morning and Wednesday evening women’s league continues to play as individual schedules permit. Many ladies have had committments as caregivers, some have been on vacation and a few are returning to work.
The Friday evening Cat & Dog winners July 15 include Championship Flight winners Kathy and Ted Noirfalise and A Flight winners Rhetta Burke and Gary Maggard. Men’s closest-to-the pin was Ted Noirfalise, hole 5 and Rhetta Burke, hole 7.
