The first Monday Women’s League was a small group but the weather was nice — cool, cloudy and in the 60’s. Mary Beth Kaps finished in 1st place and Freda Proctor finished 2nd place. Donna Jones had closest to the pin on hole 5 and Mary Beth had closest to the pin on hole 7. The first Wednesday evening women’s league played for fun due to an unpredictable weather evening.
Tuesday evening men’s league results include closest-to-the-pin winners Hole 2, Kevin Clary; Hole 5, Shelby Gray and Hole 7 Doc Hawkins. Skin winners were Hole 1, Doug Jones; Hole 2, Kevin Clary and Hole 4, Tony Courtney. Congratulations, Kevin Clary 1st place and Tony Courtney 2nd place.
Doug and Donna Jones placed first in the Friday evening Cat & Dog League and Frank and Freda Proctor won third place. Doug Jones won closest-to-the-pin on Hole 7 and the women’s pot for closest-to-the-pin will carry over to next week.
A group of Wedgwood volunteers plan to ready the pool for Memorial weekend and hopefully the weather will cooperate so this task will be completed on time. The volunteer of the week is Lane Messerer and he is trimming and weeding the sand traps. Thank you, Lane.
Wedgewood has leased four new rental carts and they are very nice so come by Wedgewood and try them out.
