Wedgewood Happenings — 06.03.2021

Golfers from Ava, Cabool, Eminence, Houston, Mammoth Springs, Mtn. Grove, Norwood, Rogersville, Seymour, St Louis and Thayer endured cool, windy, damp conditions to participate in the Wedgewood Best Ball Tournament Saturday, May 29th.   Championship winners were Jeff and Richard Williams with a score of 64; 2nd place Derrick Shelton and Roger Tune and 3rd place Dustin Hunter and Kelly Lowe.  A-Flight winners were 1st place Carter Courtney and Evan Williams, 2nd place Doug Jones and Jerry Harris and 3rd place Mike Martin and Terry Ewing.  CTP winners hole 2/11 Richard Williams 6′ 10″; hole 5/14 Randy Emery 7′ 10 3/4″ and hole 7/16 Brent Cain 5′ 11″. Leagues have been cancelled numerous times this season due to weather conditions.  Mary Beth Kaps was the winner of the Monday ladies Bingo Bango Bongo game May 24th with a score of 7.  Donna Jones was 2nd place with a score of 9 and Sharon Alder 3rd place with a score of 11.  CTP winners were holes 2 and 5 Mary Beth and hole 7 Donna Jones.

We invite green fee golfers to visit and play at Wedgewood.  Summer proshop hours are Wednesday through Sunday noon till 7 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. till 7 p.m.  All other times will be on the honor system (see instructions on the east side proshop door).  Range balls are available daily and prices are posted.  For advance cart reservations, please call 417.254.1079.

Leagues are playing as weather and schedules permit.  Ladies Monday and Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m.; Tuesday evening men’s 6 p.m. and Cat and Dog Fridays at 6 p.m.  The daily game plays at 1:30 p.m. except Mondays.
