Mark your calendar for the member Horserace game July 4th at 10 a.m.  Sign up in the proshop and plan to stay for food after the event.

The course is in great shape and we invite green fee golfers to visit and play at Wedgewood.  Summer proshop hours are Thursday, Friday and Sunday noon till 7 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. till 7 p.m.  All other times will be on the honor system (see instructions on the east side proshop door).  Range balls are available daily and prices are posted.  For advance cart reservations, please call 417.254.1079.

Leagues are playing as weather and schedules permit.  Ladies Monday mornings at 9:30 a.m.; Tuesday evening men’s 6 p.m.; Wednesday evening Ladies 6 p.m. and Cat and Dog Fridays at 6 p.m.  The daily game plays at 1:30 p.m. except Mondays.

From the Wedgewood history file —  June 12, 1969  Ladies Day will be held each Wednesday at 9 a.m.  All ladies who are members and would like to play golf are invited to participate.  Beginners are especially encouraged to attend Ladies Day.  Arrangement have been made for free instructions to be given.  Last week, eleven ladies met for coffee and donuts before tee time.  “We have a lot of fun and encourage many more to join us.”  Mrs. Clyde Matherly, Publicity Chairman.   The following are from local newspaper ads also on June 12, 1969 — Munsingwear Knit Golf Shirts $5.00 and up.  Metal gates 8 ft 5 panel $15.60 and 6 panel $16.95.

Next Wedgewood event will be the annual Cat & Dog Tournament Saturday and Sunday July 25-26.
