Wedgewood Happenings — 04.23.2018

Wedgewood is happy to have proshop volunteer, Cathy (White) Stapp.  Cathy recently retired and returned to Cabool after living in the Tulsa area for the past 32 years.   Cathy’s favorite activities are spending time with her family and her dogs.  She enjoys going to the lake and traveling.  Cathy is a beginner golfer and is looking forward to learning the game.

Wedgewood greens were aerated last Monday so the greens should be in excellent condition very soon.  The course is looking very spring like with the flowering crabapples blooming and the spring beauties on holes 2 and 5.   In the woods, the wild plums, redbud and May apples are blooming.  The tee boxes and fairways are beginning to have a bit of green show through.

Tee times at 8:30 and 1:30 are available for the upcoming May 5th 1-Person 18-Hole Scramble Tournament.  The Cash Shoot Out game will be held immediately following the tournament.  Cost of the tournament is $45 per person and includes lunch.  Carts are available for rent.  Tees will be available for 60, 70 and 80-year olds. Please sign up in a 3-person group and choose your starting hole.   To sign up visit the proshop or call 417.926.5374.

Looking forward to good golfing weather soon.
